The ToP
Advanced Facilitator Program is designed to help you have a deep impact
on individuals, groups and entire organizations. It prepares you to create
a culture of participation and handle the most challenging facilitation
situations in any organization. The ToP Advanced Facilitator
Program includesthe Professional
Facilitator Program, the Facilitative Leadership Program and regular
coaching from an assigned mentor.
ICA ToP
facilitators are well-known for their profound respect of group wisdom
and their ability to draw out wise results, motivation and commitment
from group work in virtually every sector. This
program is designed for people who want to significantly increase their ability
to work with groups of any size in any company, community or government setting.
This program is designed to enable you to develop the capacities of an excellent
facilitator.
You can

Tthe AFP
is a flexible program designed to meet the needs of each participant.
It begins with a personal learning contract and includes 21 days of course
work, frequent practice of methods and skills in your own environment,
regular coaching, mentoring and observation by a master ICA ToP facilitator,
and intensive practice, sharing and feedback with peers.

Prepare
for professional certification
This program
addresses all IAF and ICA ToP® competencies. Your portfolio from the
ToP Advanced Facilitator Program
will provide much of the evidence of competency to become an IAFCertified
Professional Facilitator or an ICA Certified ToP Facilitator, should
you choose either of these options. Certification assessment is evidence based
and totally separate from course work.
You
need

or a client base within which to apply facilitation skills four times
each month.

Program Structure
1. A "Learning Contract" articulating
your expectations and intents.
The learning contract will include the
following elements.
- Personal goals & objectives – professional,
vocational, personal.
- Your experience with ICA and ToP™ methods.
- Personal assessment in relation to ToP Facilitator Competencies
- Your key learning questions
- Capacities and results desired.
- Indicators of achievement.
- Action Plan - Courses – ICA &/or other
courses - Other research, reading and study
- Scheduling Plan
- Financial Plan

Courses taken before joining the program will count toward the
AFP.
3. Mentoring
- One hour of mentoring conversation each month.
- Record
your reflections on each facilitation experience.
- Hold quarterly conversations with a mentor facilitator, including an
emphasis on evaluation and suggestions for improvement.
- Debrief with a mentor after each facilitated event.
- Reflect on evaluations, personal evaluation/critique, suggestions to
improve facilitation capacity.
4. Observation
Be observed
by and / or co-facilitate with a mentor in 2 substantial programs. The
program recommends up to 4 days of obsercation and / or co-facilitation so the
mentor can see you facilitate complex work in a real situation. We
recommend that the trainee’s client pay the fee and expenses for the
ICA mentor to facilitate the program with you.
Completion will be demonstrated
by
- A portfolio of facilitation experience including reflection
sheets and mentor’s notes
- Demonstration of facilitation expertise that meets competencies
- Evidence of meeting learning objectives set out in learning contract
Completion will be documented
by
- Certificate of Completion
- A letter of recommendation
Program
Fees
$9,492.00 plus GST
- 20% discount over the total of all individual
courses and mentoring.
- 80% of the cost of past courses can be applied toward
AFP program fees.
